FFS RIDE:  SWEENEY/MILAGRA  RIDGES

This ride is worthy of the Western Wheeler Hills R Us Tribe, and indeed that’s where we got the idea for this new addition to the FFS.  We’ll meet at Pioneer Hotel, ride up Canada thru Hillsborough before taking Skyline to see the views from the top of both Sweeney and Milagra Ridges.  In addition to the spectacular scenery, there is a bit of history here:  These two sites are where Nike Missile Batteries and their control systems were installed but never used.  We return to the start on a much straighter path thru the College of San Mateo, Skyline, and Canada Road.   Online route sheets/maps/GPS

FOOD :   There is no formal restaurant stop on this ride.  Riders should bring food and snacks for the day.  There are water stops along the way, but bring extra water if it is a hot day!

RIDE GROUPS:   Three options are offered on FFS rides: Slower C group (C-) with social pace and mandatory regroups; Faster C group (C+) with a bit faster pace and shorter regroups; D group with a bit longer and/or more challenging route.
