I recently led a ride to Mare Island, since I had never been to Mare Island in the 50 years that I have called Bay Area home. Apparentily, I wasn't the only one. I got lot of questions about Mare Island and couple of interests to do the ride. So here it is. And this time, I am listing it more than a week in advanced, to allow more time to plan for the ride.

This is a modified route from the one I led last time. It cuts out the "junk miles" between Rockridge BART and Del Norte BART. This way we can spend some time exploring the Island. The route takes us to the "peak" on Mare Island, then to Mare Island Brewing (one on the Island). Plan is to explore the Island in between the peak and the brewery.
