As the cliche goes: let's beat the heat and head towards the coast.

Like last week, we'll start in Woodside and climb Kings. From there we'll ride to Pescadero for lunch by way of Skyline, 84, and Pescadero Creek Road. Stage, Tunitas, and Kings will get us back to the start with a breather at the Bike Hut.

Anyone who wants to shorten the ride can skip the Pescadero leg and continue on 84 to San Gregorio which saves about 12 miles and 1400 feet. There may be construction and one way traffic control on that section of 84, but hopefully traffic will not be heavy at that hour.

Apologies for the amount of overlap this week's ride has with last week's HRU, Don's ride on Thursday and FFS on Saturday. I have no creativity when it's hot.

Startin g Location: The parking lot behind the Pioneer Saloon in Woodside

Start Time: 8:45 for a 9 am departure

Stats: 57 miles, with 6300 feet of climbing.

Lunch: Bring or buy at Arcangeli's, or BYOL at the Bike Hut for those who skip Pescadero.
