Want to ride the Low-Key Hill Climbs series, but can't make the big Saturday group? This week's climb is new for 2026. We'll start at the intersection of Kelly Ave and Main St in Half Moon Bay (free parking is available nearby on Johnston St), then roll at warmup pace down Hwy 1 to the start of the climb.

Lobitos is a short one: only 3.3 miles and 672 feet of climbing. We'll regroup at both the bottom and the top of the climb, so ride it as fast or as slow as you like!

After the climb we'll still have plenty of energy, so we'll descend Tunitas Creek, make a quick stop at the Bike Hut, and head south along the coast on Hwy 1 before stopping for water/snacks at Arcangeli in Pescadero. Then we'll climb the three little hills of quiet, charming Stage Rd before finishing on a gentle climb and descent on Purissima Creek/Higgins Canyon Rd to return to the cars. Should be a beautiful, rambling day out!
