Hey RWC group ride fans. Join me, Brian, this Sunday (9/27), for a climbing day thru Redwood City and Woodside. We will start with a short warm up along Brewster and Alameda, then tackle 3 climbs, each with nice descents. The first will be Highland/Jefferson with a descent from the top of Jefferson thru Cañada and Olive Hill. The second climb will be the amazingly beautiful Huddard Park with a descent down Kings. You can also choose to descend Huddard instead. . We will then cruise thru Woodside and the overhanging trees and eventually get to the third (short but sweet) climb up Cañada College Campus Circle, with a magnificent view at the top, then a descent down Farm Hill. 1800 feet of climbing in just 22 miles. The Huddard Park climb will be optional, but you will have to wait for us at the Woodside Store (Kings/Tripp) water fountain. As always with my rides, we can modify or change the route depending on group input. Cliff Bloks energy chews will be provided at the start to help you along the way. Weather report says it will be low to mid 60’s for the whole ride, perfect climbing weather. Meet at 9am, ride at 9:30. See ya there.
