RIDE STARTS AT 9:00 a.m . - Moderate Pace - 72 miles

This ride is only available for VSBC members and will leave from the bocce courts in Martinez (Martinez Bocce Courts Link) at 9:00 a.m. The ride host plans to take 5-1/2 hours to reach Davis and then return to Martinez on the 4:09 p.m. Amtrak train.

A support vehicle will tentatively be available for those wishing to change shoes/clothes in Davis.  Lunch will be at Tres Hermanas across from the train station.  Other eating options are available nearby.

The ride is restricted to 25 people due to limited bike rack space on AMTRAK

Trains leave Davis at 2:09 p.m., 4:09 p.m. (planned return) and 5:19 p.m.  The train trip back to Martinez is 45 minutes.

You should purchase train tickets  in advance.  If you do purchase train tickets in advance, you should wait to make sure the weather will be good on Wednesday and the ride won’t be cancelled.  If the air quality turns bad the $16 Adult ticket is 100% refundable if cancelled before departure. If you purchase group tickets check to see if the discounted fares are refundable. ____________________________________________________
