We’ll climb Rock Creek Road, the highest paved road in California, to Mosquito Flat (el. 10,220’). Both SHORT and LONG routes start at Tom’s Place. LONG riders descend/climb the lower section first before starting their ascent of upper section, turning around at the Lower Rock Creek Trailhead in Paradise. All riders climb to Mosquito Flat from Tom’s Place. Lunch is near the summit at Rock Creek Lake Resort (aka “Pie in the Sky”). A second option for LONG riders is to start at the lower trailhead, however parking is more secure at Tom’s Place. EZ START riders (need carpool) do the upper climb, then descend all the way down to the Lower Rock Creek Trailhead to meet their carpool. This ride is co-listed with ACTC.
NOTE: Most participants will check out of their Mammoth Lakes accommodations before riding and check into Bishop accommodations after the ride.

SHORT/EZ START: Meet at Tom’s Place Resort (8180 Crowley Lake Drive, Crowley Lake, CA.) at Rock Creek Road & Hwy 395 at 8:45 for a prompt 9:00 departure .
NOTE: Parking area is on the left (north) side of Tom’s Place. Restrooms at Tom’s Place are posted for “NO PUBLIC USE” but they don’t seem to mind cyclists using them.
