Surprise! Howard and Jacquette were supposed to be celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary in Canada this week, but the Canadian fires promised too much smoke in their eyes and they stayed home. They will lead a ride to the Ice Cream Social instead. Get your family together and join Howard and Jacquette at Shoup Park at 11:45 am (launch at noon) for this easy ten-mile circle starting at Shoup Park and also ending at Shoup Park where the Western Wheelers’ annual ice cream social will take place. On our ride, we’ll wander along family-friendly, traffic-free, residential streets. Those who want to can eat lunch at Shoup Park after the ride (which you may bring, or buy in nearby downtown Los Altos). After lunch, beginning at 2:00 pm, all the ice cream and toppings you and your family can devour will be spread before you.
