Not a regular ACTC ride, this is an ACTC Touring Academy training ride. Although we meet @ 9:30am but the ride will start only after the Academy students’ panniers pass safety check. This ride is a good introduction to anyone interested in bikepacking and bicycle touring. For example, is there a need to purchase a new fancy gravel or touring bicycle? Absolutely not, I will be touring on a 40 years old mountain bike. Optional lunch at the many Vietnamese, Chinese, and Mexican restaurants at the end of the ride.
