Hey RWC group ride fans. As part of our Keep Rolling Sundays loyalty program (see our ride group post), join me, Brian, this Sunday (6/14), on a roller to the Crystal Springs Dam. We will get there via Alameda de las Pulgas and Crystal Springs Blvd. Once at the dam, we will have the option of riding the scenic Sawyer Camp Trail. If so, then once we reach the San Andreas dam, there will be another option to climb up the hill for some H2O at the fountain and a magnificent view. No worries if ya don’t want to do the optional climb, as there may be wild turkeys to hang out with. On the way back, we will cruise along Cañada Rd and up/over Jefferson. The full ride is about 38 miles and 2100 ft of elevation or a little over 26 miles and 1700 ft elevation without the Sawyer Camp part. There will be stops at the top of all the climbs and water stops at the top of the optional Sawyer Camp climb and at the Pulgas Water Temple on Caňada rd. As always with my rides, we can modify or change the route depending on group input. As a treat, we will provide Cliff Bloks energy chews to help you along the way. Weather looks to be in the mid 60’s at the start then mid 70’s at the finish, sunscreen will be provided. Meet at 9am, ride at 9:30. Hope to see ya there.
