We’ll venture north to explore the Warner Valley, an area that was burned severely in the 2021 Dixie Fire. The Dixie Fire burned right up to the edge of Chester and Lake Almanor, and this ride is a stark reminder of how unforgiving the fire was! However the forest is starting to recover and the fire opened up fantastic views that were unavailable before the fire. We’ll stop at lovely Domingo Springs Campground (cold spring water). After exploring Warner Valley we’ll return to Chester for lunch at Kopper Kettle in town. After lunch the longer CD route continues up Juniper Lake Road to where it turns to gravel.
