Not too hard or too long mixed Terrain ride from Shoup Park, Los Altos. Gravel sections are rideable on a road bike. Climbing is front loaded with up and over Montebello to Old Haul then back up Alpine making our way to San Carlos for a late lunch at mile 64. The Refuge, http://www.refugesc.com/, famous for pastrami and Belgian beer selection. A short,but painful climb up Melendy with a too full stomach, then a relatively easy return.
