This is a pre-Ice Cream Social mountain bike ride with an ear-popping 223 feet of ascent! We'll start from the location of the Social (street parking only, see listing), so there won't be any reason not to attend and represent the "dirty" members of the club. This is mixed-terrain but stays off of higher-traffic roads as much as possible. We'll visit Alviso Slough and Mallard Slough trails to experience a flat-land event. Expect to ride at a much faster pace than normal since it is flat. There are rocks, potholes and gravel, making the ride more difficult for the skinny tired set but we should be able to roar through on knobbies. Two re-group locations (4 stops) included but plan to be self-sufficient and keep pace. We leave at 10:00 sharp, so be there and have your bike ready. Let's ride hard and enjoy some ice cream!
