Hey RWC group ride fans. Join me, Brian, this Sunday (4/19), on a roller to the Crystal Springs Dam. We will get there via Alameda de las Pulgas (avenue of the fleas) and Crystal Springs Blvd. Once at the dam, we will have the option of riding the scenic Sawyer Camp Trail. If so, then once we reach the San Andreas dam, the climbers will have the option to climb up the hill for some H2O at the fountain and a magnificent view, while the non climbers might be able to hang with some wild turkeys. On the way back, we will cruise along Cañada Rd (hopefully the Cañada road Bicycle Sunday will be in effect) and up/over Jefferson. The full ride is about 38 miles and 2100 ft of elevation or a little over 26 miles and 1700 ft elevation without the Sawyer Camp part. As always with my rides, we can modify or change the route depending on group input. Weather looks to be in the upper 50’s at the start and mid 60’s at the finish. Meet at 9am, ride at 9:30.
