This ride is the first in a series of rides to tune up your climbing. Each ride will add climbing but stay at about the same mileage.

Meet William Mueller at Shoup Park for a 9:30 sign-in , 9:45 launch.

For the first ride we'll head through Portola Valley to climb OLH, then do an out-and-back on OLH West.  On the way back we'll visit the Skyline Buddha (optionally can be skipped by staying on Skyline).  After descending Hwy 84 we will work our way through the professor's housing at Stanford before returning to Shoup. Besides the visit to Buddha, there is one very short dirt section at the start of the ride that can be easily walked.

Optional lunch in Los Altos afterwards.

Rain, AQI>100, or temps above 90F will push the series back a week
