38 mi, 1 LM, 414 ft; Alviso Slough Trail

Meet in the west church parking lot, corner of E. Hamilton Ave on Leigh Ave, San Jose. We will ride up the San Tomas Aquino Creek trail, do a loop on the levees and return via the Gaudalupe River Trail. About 9 miles of this ride are on hard-packed dirt but easily ridden on standard road bikes. The first mile of that section is usually the worst, so an early turnaround is an option if it's too rough or muddy. Shorebird sightings, salt pond views and the ghost town of Drawbridge are typically impressive. Regroups as necessary and as always, no one left behind.
