Come a bit early for the Pacific Grove LDT Weekend and enjoy a moderate afternoon loop that will start at Royal Oaks Park off Hwy 101 near Prunedale and explore quiet roads in the Elkhorn Slough/Royal Oaks area. This is an afternoon ride that will meet at 11:15 am for an 11:30 am departure. This is social paced C ride but faster or slower riders are welcome to form a separate ride group at the start if desired. Ride has convenient shortcuts to shorten route if desired – see route sheet for details. No lunch break so bring snacks (or stop in Prunedale for food on the way there). Restrooms/water available at start. NOTE – SELF SERVICE PARKING FEE MAY BE REQUIRED at County Park. Fee has varied - bring some small bills in cash. From US 101 South, Exit at San Miguel Cyn Rd., R on San Miguel Cyn Rd., R on Echo Valley Rd., L on Maher Rd., R into park. Food/gas available in Prunedale at US 101 exit. Note above info about parking fee.
