This route promises scenic roads, ocean views, and pleasant temps. Starting in Cotati, we take Valley Ford Road out to Bodega Highway. We soon leave Bodega Highway to climb Joy Road (it’s steep!) then a thrilling descent down Coleman Valley to the coast with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. After a few rolling miles up the coast along Highway 1, we turn onto River Road and ride along the Russian River to Duncans Mills for lunch at the bakery. Return via the redwoods through Bohemian Highway then up and down along rural roads including Barnett Valley, Burnside, Canfield, and Roblar back to Cotati. Riders should download the route and preregister, and know that there may be no cell service for much of the ride.
