16 mi, 6 M, 2800 ft; Mount Umunhum,Sierra Azul-Woods Road

Starting from the larger Wood Trail Parking lot (not the smaller Jacques Ridge lot at the intersection), we'll ride up Woods and Barlow to the Mt. Umunhum Trail and then up to the former radar tower. After a some recovery and a few snacks, we'll head back. There are some very steep sections with marginal traction, so some hike-a-bike is likely. Plan to be fully self-sufficient. Be forewarned this is a big ride. To avoid the hardest climbs, you can join the ride at the Mt. Umunhum Trailhead with parking at the Bald Mountain lot (limited). Arrival time for the main ride is uncertain, so we'll join up if you are there when the group from the bottom arrives. Please inform the ride leader via text before 10:00 AM if you are planning to meet the group at the Umunhum Trailhead (mid-ride). Start location: Wood Road Entrance [Route/Map]
