T-7  UPDATE FOR 8/21/25

Hello "Third Thursday Themed Thaco Tour" riders!

Here is the UPDATED route info for this Thursday, August 21st!  (B+C/1.8/26.8)

This month's TTTTT Theme is "A bit of Portola Valley History" with 5 brief HM stops as well as a coffee / pastry stop in Sharron Heights at mile 7.2 and our delicious Taco Stop is in Ladera at mile 18.3!

The total mileage is 26.8 and the total climbing is 1215 ft or just under 45 ft/mile average.

As before, gather at Silicon Valley Bike Exchange , at 9:30 and we'll roll out at 9:45.

SVBE is located at 3961 East Bayshore Rd and the Entrance faces the parking lot, off Corporation Way just north of San Antonio Rd.

They will open their door, so we have access to a restroom and water and to see lots of really cool bikes and parts in their shop!

Our route crosses Hwy 101 over to Palo Alto, and a the first regroup at Peers Park,  with restrooms & water)

Then we cross El Camino into Stanford, over to Sand Hill Rd where we'll stop at a nice little bakery for a social coffee / pastry break.

We then cross 280 into the Portola Valley area for a total of five little-known HM stops so we can read about some of the local history.

We'll take a gentle diversion in the Portola Valley Ranch neighborhood and the route Hi-Point is just over 700 ft!

After our last HM, we'll enjoy the pleasant downhill on Alpine Rd down to Amigos Grill in Ladera for their delicious tacos and Mexican fare!

After Amigos Grill, it's a fast beeline back through Stanford and Palo Alto where we will ride 1.3 miles on the NEW El Camino Real Bike Lanes before returning to SVBEx!

Dont Forget!  Those who attend 2 or more of these TTTTT rides will receive a cool pair of THACO THOX from SVBEx!

THIRD THURSDAY THACO THEME THUMMER TOURS  ("T-7" for short)

This continuation of the previous Thaco Thursday rides will occur once a month, on the 3rd Thursday, from July - October.

Each of these routes start and finish at Silicon Valley Bike Exchange, located at 3961 East Bayshore Rd, the entrance is in the parking lot behind the building, off Corporation Way.  We're starting a bit earlier for these next few rides, so arrive by 9:30, roll at 9:45,  just in case of warmer temps.

For the all the T-7  routes, we'll have a Theme that should be obvious and these routes will be a bit shorter than the previous TTT's.

The Taco stop will be the same for all four T-7's , at the wonderful La Cazuela just off the Bay Trail in EPA!

As an ADDED BONUS if you attend two or more of these next four rides, SVBEx will give you a very cool pair of THACO THOX! (aka Taco socks) as their way of saying thank you for hopefully participating in SVBEx's ongoing endevours!

This ride as a fun, social, easy paced ride with plentiful regroups and no one will be dropped.

Along with the route info and description, we’ll have Links to the Ride with GPS route and a PDF to print your own (old school) cue sheet too.  Randall will bring 1 or 2 of those Maps and Q’s if anyone forgot theirs, just in case.
