Back in the spring or early summer, a few of use took a break from climbing Highway 1 between Tunitas and Stage to check out the as-yet-unopened Don Horsley Park at Tunitas Creek Beach (https://www.smcgov.org/parks/don-horsley-park-tunitas-creek-beach). It has now been officially open for a couple of months and I would like to explore more of it. I hear there are picnic tables down the hill, so we can stop there for lunch.

So, this will be a counterclockwise loop starting from Shoup Park to Portola Valley, Woodside, Huddart Park, Kings Mountain Road, Tunitas Creek Road, and Highway 1 before getting to the park. It's a basic return hitting Stage Road/San Gregorio, Highway 84, Pescadero Creek Road, Alpine Road, and Page Mill Road.

Regroups at Portola Valley Town Center, Huddart Park Sequoia group camp and picnic area, the Bike Hut, San Gregorio, and some sunny spot along Pescadero Creek Road. Optional/brief regroups at Kings Mountain Road and Skyline, Alpine and Portola State Park Road, Alpine and Skyline, and Page Mill and Altamont.

Starting Location: Shoup Park (park along University or Lincoln Avenues as a courtesy to the park users)

Start Time: 8:45 for a 9 am departure.

Distance: 58 miles

Elevation: 6300 feet

Lunch: BYOL to eat at the Bike Hut or Don Horsley Park, depending on weather
