50 years! 50 miles!

Come on down and join us for a spectacular loop through the East Bay and Oakland Hills. We will also have the full Pinarello Demo Fleet available that weekend for you to reserve in advance for the group ride, or another time slot. The demo reservations will be emailed separately, and available on RACYCLES . COM.

After the ride, we will have light food and beverages available in Ramona's Kitchen, and there will be raffle prizes from Assos, Form Cycling, Ceramicspeed, Kask, Pirelli, and Skratch Labs.

We will open the doors at 730am for bathrooms, tire pumping, and demo bike setup. Roll at 830am!

The group will head to Moraga via the bike path to St. Mary's College, then into Orinda for an ascent of the famously brutal El Toyonal climb! A regroup at the top of El Toyonal / Steam Trains, before we roll all the way down Grizzley Peak to Sunset Lane, then onto Wildcat Canyon for a quick roll past Lake Anza before descending back into Orinda. The bottom of Wildcat is a good spot for riders who need to head back early to turn right and go towards downtown Orinda. The main group will turn left onto San Pablo Dam Road and head out to Castro Ranch to Alhambra Valley Road, and up Pig Farm for another regroup - maybe the pigs will be out! Final stretch is Alhambra Valley to Reliez Valley Road, and back to the shop via Pleasant Hill Road and Boulevard Way.

The route takes a couple of additional turns compared to what we usually ride on similar routes just so we can hit that magic 50 mile number almost exactly!

Please share this ride with your friends and riding groups! We will most likely split the group into two group so everyone can go at their own pace.

We do strongly encourage everyone to review the route in advance of the ride so that you do not get lost!

Plan your nutrition and hydration accordingly as there are no stores on this route after we go through Orinda at mile 14.
